Editorial: Good luck to new chamber chief

IN THIS ARTICLE

Zoe Taylor, a woman well known to the Business Times for her work at the Ventura Chamber of Commerce, has a new assignment. Taylor is taking the job as interim president of the Santa Barbara Region Chamber of Commerce, replacing Steve Cushman, who capably helmed the organization for 24 years.

Taylor’s knowledge of broader chamber issues will come in handy as she tries to assess what the future of the chamber should be and maps out a blueprint for whoever takes over on a regular basis next year.  Her knowledge of the city of Ventura and Ventura County will also come in handy. The future of Ventura County and Santa Barbara’s South Coast are more closely linked than they have been since the late 19th Century.
We wish Taylor much success in her interim assignment.
