IN THIS ARTICLE

Camarillo-based Semtech officials said a July 31 fire occurred at the company’s Reynosa, Mexico fabrication facility and could mean several million dollars in losses.

The facility serves the company’s Power Discrete business unit.

No injuries  were reported from the fire. However, the facility was damaged and some equipment was destroyed.

A recovery plan is under way and expects to resume all operations within eight to nine weeks, company officials said.

The fire will have no impact to the company’s second quarter fiscal year 2009 revenues, company officials said. It is estimated the fire will have less than a $1 million impact on third quarter fiscal year 2009 revenues.

The company estimates a $2 million to $3 million impact on fourth quarter fiscal year 2009 revenues.
