Chumash sues Goleta
A group of Chumash supporters sued the city of Goleta in response to the city council’s recent approval of the Marriott Residence Inn Extended Stay Suites, planned for construction at 6300 Hollister Ave.
Headed by Chumash advocate Frank Arredondo and represented by the law firm of Marc Chytilo, the coalition aims to protect the site’s cultural value.
Concerns raised by community members about the new hotel include building heights and water quality impacts from runoff.
