Sharpen your pencils and get out your notebooks, Santa Barbara. Two different MBA programs aimed at working professionals will launch in the city over the next two years.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and CSU Channel Islands are both setting up part-time MBA programs in Santa Barbara, with Cal Poly’s launching first and CSUCI planning a full rollout in fall 2011. The two MBA programs would help fill a void in Santa Barbara, which has a wealth of working professionals and successful tech firms but no graduate-level business administration programs.
Cal Poly opened its application window in early June and will begin its first classes in September. The two-year, $30,000 program will hold classes twice a week at the downtown Canary Hotel.
