Carpinteria has changed a lot during the 15 years that we’ve been publishing the Business Times.

It has re-energized its Linden Avenue shopping district, created new spaces for fledgling artists and creative types and spread its roots from a deep tradition as an agribusiness center.

Today the city hosts a number of businesses large and small. Its beaches are unrivaled for beauty and ease of use, and housing prices are again on the rise.

Carpinteria celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with a banquet that includes a special “golden jubilee” beer produced by homegrown brewer Paul Wright of Island Brewing Co.

Let’s raise a mug to the next half century.
