MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation announced it would open Saturday, Feb. 25 at its new 17,000-square-foot space located at 125 State St. in Santa Barbara.

Twenty-five years in the making, the museum will offer hands-on science and technology exhibits and expects to attract more than 100,000 guests in its first year.

“The entire MOXI team is so excited to open our doors and welcome guests to explore, discover and play,” said Steve Hinkley, president and CEO of MOXI. “No matter your age, abilities, background, or interest in science, you will find something, hopefully many things, that you will love about MOXI.”

UC Santa Barbara’s AlloSphere Research Group provided the first installation and the third floor features exhibits on a rooftop garden called the Levinson Family Sky Garden and the Towbes Family Lookout Tower, among other attractions.

The museum has a staff of more than 40 employees and nearly 100 volunteers. Tickets will cost $14 for adults and $10 for children over the age of 2, with doors open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with early-entry at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays for members.
