Interim president for Ventura College appointed
David Keebler
The Ventura County Community College District has appointed David Keebler as interim president for Ventura College after former president Greg Gillespie was named chancellor of the district as of July 1.
With 34 years as a community college administrator, Keebler served most recently as vice president of business and administrative services at Ventura College and vice chancellor of business services for the district office. He has also held leadership positions at community colleges in Pasadena, Minneapolis, Reno, Nev. and Eugene, Ore.
“I am grateful to the search committee, Chancellor Gillespie and the board of trustees for this opportunity,” Keebler said in a news release July 5. “I am committed to serving the college, its students, faculty and staff effectively as we work towards our shared goal of providing innovative instruction and support for our diverse student body.”
