The Hideaway Santa Barbara, a boutique hotel with nine rooms, will open June 15.

Four new hotels have opened recently or will open soon in the Tri-Counties.

• Kirkwood Collection will introduce its newest property, Hideaway Santa Barbara, with a grand opening on June 15. The boutique nine-room hotel is at 420 W. Montecito St.

Kirkwood owns a collection of boutique properties, including other hotels in Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and San Luis Obispo.

The Hideaway is designed by Michelle McClory, Kirkwood’s design director, to deliver a high-end residential aesthetic with natural light and artisan materials. Nightly rates start at $350 and include breakfast.

• In San Luis Obispo, La Quinta by Wyndham opened earlier this month. The 102-room hotel at 1845 Monterey St. was built from the ground up on property that used to house a restaurant and then an Irish pub, said Andrew Firestone, a principal at developer StonePark Capital.

The hospitality firm purchased the property in 2013, and it owns similar hotels in Paso Robles, Santa Barbara and Ventura.

Amenities at the pet-friendly hotel include a rooftop pool, gym facility and 700 square feet of meeting space. The 1865 Craft House & Kitchen restaurant is located adjacent to the hotel. Prices range from $150 to $200 a night.

• A 54-room hotel will be opening its doors in Arroyo Grande in June. The Agrarian Hotel markets itself as a boutique hotel in wine country. Both rooms and suites will be available, and some include amenities such as private patios and Jacuzzi tubs. The hotel is pet-friendly and features a hot tub and pool.

The Agrarian’s design was inspired by the craftsmanship and history of downtown Arroyo Grande with a nod to modern trends. It’s located at 325 E Branch St, near downtown shops and eateries.

Nightly room rates vary but are in the $200 price range and include breakfast.

• Salty Sister at Morro Rock, a 5,000-square-foot boutique hotel near the Morro Bay waterfront, opened for business in early May. Located at 1170 Front St., it sleeps up to 24 people in six individual units.

The adjoining units offer a full kitchen or kitchenette, dining rooms, bedrooms and game rooms in each rental, making the layout ideal for groups, family gatherings and extended-stays. All units can be booked together or in different combinations.

Salty Sister’s design features high wood-beamed ceilings and hardwood floors. Amenities include private and semi-private decks and balconies and a shared barbecue in the common area. Most rooms offer views of the bay and the town’s iconic Morro Rock. The hotel’s booking availability and pricing can be found on the Seven Sisters Vacation Rentals website www.sevensvr.com or via phone at (805) 900-6000.
