Lee was the top executive at of St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and St. John’s Hospital Camarillo. In a statement announcing his departure, a hospital spokesperson said on Oct. 28 that he had resigned earlier in the week.

Lee worked for the organization for 20 years and held the role of CEO of St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital Camarillo for seven years.

“We appreciate his many contributions not only to the hospitals he oversaw but to the communities we serve,” Dignity said in the news release. “We wish him all the best.”

Dignity officials “are now in the process” of searching for a new hospital president to oversee both campuses, the statement said. An interim president will begin on Nov. 1 while the national search is underway.

Both St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital Camarillo are part of the Dignity Health Central Coast service area.

Lee came to St. John’s from Dignity Health in San Francisco. There, he served more than 10 years in various system-level roles, including legal, human resources, and employee and labor relations.

Additional details were not immediately available about the circumstances of his departure.
