UC Santa Barbara’s Technology Management department hosted the 2025 New Venture Finals, culminating eight months of interdisciplinary work from 44 student teams.

RazeMath secured first place for its AI-driven math education program and took home $10,000 in the process. People’s Choice Winner for the event was Assistive Tech, which utilizes VR headsets to offer a non-invasive biomarker test that detects Alzheimer’s risk up to 15 years before symptoms appear.

JAFFX, an open-source guitar pedal venture, earned second place, while Masterminding, an AI tool for educators, took third.

Over $37,000 in awards were distributed, supported by sponsors including GEM, Yardi, CNSI, and SoCal IP Law Group. Judges from Khosla Ventures, Mambo Media, GrowthX, and Ronin, a CMO / marketing consultant firm, evaluated the finalists, reflecting UCSB’s commitment to continuing to support entrepreneurship talents across disciplines.
