Los Robles Health purchases T.O. surgical building for $70M
HCA Healthcare and Los Robles Health System are now the owners of Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital after finalizing a $70 million purchase this spring, the healthcare entities announced May 28.
No interruptions or changes in operation have resulted in the purchase of the Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital building by Los Robles Health System, the healthcare system said in a press release.
The surgical hospital has been a part of Los Robles Health System’s centers of care since 2012 when HCA Healthcare and Los Robles acquired the business. Since then, Los Robles has been a long-time tenant of the 85,731-square-foot medical building located at 401 Rolling Oaks Dr. in Thousand Oaks.
“I am proud that HCA Healthcare is investing in our local community,” stated Phil Buttell, CEO of Los Robles Health System. “As the community’s most trusted resource for health and a regional destination for care, we are building a network that makes world-class care accessible.”
In addition to the Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital building, the Los Robles Health System includes Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center, which is the largest hospital in eastern Ventura County, as well as a rehabilitation hospital in Westlake Village.
Los Robles Health System also owns and operates a variety of medical office buildings located on the corner of Lynn and Janss Road and the site of a future comprehensive cancer center adjacent to the newly purchased surgery center, it said in a press release.
Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital is a 21-bed facility with seven Operating Rooms. In addition, the building has medical office space where a variety of specialists see private practice patients.
