Rose Care announces new CEO, expansion of services

San Luis Obispo-based Rose Care Group on Sept. 3 announced the appointment of longtime healthcare veteran Alan Iftiniuk as CEO.
The senior care provider also announced the addition of home health and hospice services to include its sister companies Aevum Home Health and Aevum Hospice.
“I am honored to join Rose Care Group as CEO and continue serving the Central Coast community I call home,” Iftiniuk, who previously served as president & CEO of French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, said in a press release.
Rose Care Center made the announcements in the wake of the June 30 closure of San Luis Obispo-based nonprofit Wilshire Health & Community Services, a home healthcare and hospice provide.
The shuttering of Wilshire Health left a critical gap in home health and hospice care on the Central Coast, creating new challenges for hospitals, physicians, and families navigating safe transitions of care, Rose Care executives said.
Rose Care is stepping forward to address the need, they said.
Under Iftiniuk’s leadership, Rose Care becomes the only provider in San Luis Obispo County offering the full continuum of senior care — assisted living, memory care, home health, and hospice, the executives said.
“With Wilshire’s closure, many have wondered where to turn for trusted senior care,” Iftiniuk said.
“With the recent addition of home health and hospice services under their sister companies, Aevum Home Health and Aevum Hospice, Rose Care Group is stepping forward as the only provider offering the full continuum of care all under one umbrella,” he said.
