SLO County Airport resumes daily nonstop flights to Vegas

Daily nonstop service from SLO County Airport to Las Vegas on Alaska Airlines will resume starting Oct. 4.
The seasonal route provides Central Coast travelers with convenient access to one of the nation’s top destinations for leisure, entertainment, and business, officials said.
“Las Vegas has always been a top destination for our region, drawing both leisure travelers and business opportunities,” San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg said in an Oct. 3 press release.
“The return of this nonstop service not only enhances convenience for our residents but also strengthens the regional economy by welcoming more visitors to the Central Coast,” she said.
Tourism is a vital part of the community, and air service is a cornerstone of its success, Ortiz-Legg said.
Courtney Johnson, San Luis Obispo County’s director of airports, said the return of the Las Vegas route “underscores Alaska Airlines’ continued confidence in the SLO County market and our strong partnership.
“We are proud to offer more options for our travelers and grateful for the community support that makes this service possible,” she said. “Every added route reflects the success and resilience of air travel at The SLO County Airport.”
The service is part of the airport’s expanding connectivity, which continues to open new opportunities for residents and visitors alike, Johnson said.
