Veteran Santa Barbara business banker Bibi Moezzi announced her move from Columbia Bank to Community West Bank, triggering a flood of comments on LinkedIn.

“I’m happy to share that I am starting a new position as Market Manager at Communit West Bank,” Moezzi said in her LinkedIn post. Moezzi also will be a senior vice president at Fresno-based Community West, a bank that has grown substantially through acquisitions during 2026.

Over 100 colleagues and community leaders commented on her post in the first day after the announcement. Brooks Wise, another veteran Central Coast Banker, remains Executive Vice President for the region for Columbia Bank, which gained a large presence in the region through its merger with Pacific Premier Bank.

At Community West, the acquisition of United Security Bank has provided a platform for future growth, even though merger-related costs triggered a decline in second-quarter profits. “Surpassing $5 billion in total assets marks an exciting milestone in Community West Bank’s continued growth and reflects the strength of our expanded franchise,” said James J. Kim, CEO and President, in a late July earnings release.

Nikki Parr, CEO at Women’s Economic Ventures was among those who commented on the news. “So excited for this new chapter for you Bibi – Community West is VERY lucky to have you!” she wrote.

Moezzi, who holds an engineering degree, previously held positions at Business First, Heritage Oaks Bank and Pacific Premier. She has served on a number of boards including Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens and the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce.

She’s been recognized multiple times by Pacific Coast Business Times at its Top 50 Women in Business awards.
