Champions in Health Care is the only program that takes a truly regional approach to health care issues. This year’s theme is: Managing Disruption. We are looking to gather leaders from nonprofit organizations, for-profits and pubic health care agencies to talk about how they manage disruption in the health care industry.
Each year, we profile experts in a specific area of health care, including hospital executives, physicians, nurses, researchers, philanthropists and volunteers. A luncheon and panel discussion with this year’s winners will be held on June 20 at the Topa Tower Club. We’re taking nominations for the following categories.
Technology – A new disruptive technology or medical device that is having a measurable impact on patient care.
Chief Executive – An executive who has been successful in managing the disruptive environment at a community hospital or health care agency.
Specialist – A M.D. or other specialist who has brought new technologies diagnosis or treatment in a specific area; or a specialist who has developed new systems for managing disruption taking place in health care.
Medical Records/Data Collection – A professional who is deploying new and disruptive technologies to analyze health data and improve care.
Research – A researcher who is pioneering new and potentially disruptive solutions to health care problems.
Design & Construction – An architect or industrial designer or construction firm that’s pioneering new solutions to creating and managing health care facilities.
Biopharma – A disruptive new therapy or delivery system that’s introducing new therapies or bending the cost curve for existing treatments.
Community Leader – A community leader or philanthropist who has volunteered or who is working on solutions to community health care or care for underserved communities.
