They also must be either based out of, or be a resident of the Tri-Counties, or conduct a significant amount of business within the region. This is a one-time-only award, past winners are ineligible. 

To clarify: Previous 40 Under 40 winners are ineligible to win again, and therefore should not be nominated. Nominees must be under the age of 40 by September 1, 2026.
