Now in its sixth year of publication, the Pacific Coast Business Times once again honors the region’s leaders in innovation, disruptive technology and social ventures. Our publication is followed by a virtual event that will honor this year’s honorees.

Categories include:

Corporate Innovators:  Two awards to large, established companies that do not necessarily have origins within the university ecosystems (Examples: Marborg, Patagonia, Limonera, Reiter Affiliated, Harrison/Agromin, Mannkind, Procore.)

Corporate Partners: Two awards to large, established companies whose business is strongly related to one or more of the universities or is the type that a university would incubate (Examples: Semtech, AppFolio, Teledyne, Amgen,  Oxaples, Inogen)

Breaking New Ground: Two awards to emerging companies that have reached a level of early success and emerged out of the university ecosystems (Examples: Apeel, Next Energy,  CalWise Spirits, Tastry, Umbra tech)

Spirit of Innovation: A capstone award to individual who is a significant innovator in the region. Selected by the committee with input from PCBT
