It’s time for a quarterly roundup of lease deals from around the region. Over the last few months banks, restaurants, wineries and investors have snagged more space.

Here’s a snapshot:

Rabobank recently penned two leases at the Topa Financial Plaza in Oxnard. Bill Kiefer and Steve Doll from NAI Capital’s Ventura County office represented the landlord in the deals, which were for 4,868-square-foot and 5,984-square-foot office suites at the 300 Esplanade Drive office park. The combined value of the deals was more than $2.3  million, according to NAI.

• Kiefer also represented the landlord, Hines, in a 5,857-square-foot lease in Camarillo to Corvel Healthcare Corp. The deal was in the Camarillo Business Center at 751 Daily Drive, Ste. 400, and is valued at $718,653.

• Lee & Associates Central Coast reports that it handled DenMat’s recent 81,687-square-foot lease at 1017 W. Central Ave. in Lompoc. Tom Davidson with Lee represented the landlord. He and Al Segal both represented DenMat, maker of dental products.

• In Fillmore, commercial real estate broker Nick Henry represented the buyers, David Matras and Jaqueline Pinson, in the purchase of a seven-unit apartment property at 161 and 163 Sespe Ave.

• Investment group Greene RE LLC purchased two multi-tenant industrial buildings at 2001-2005 Palma Drive in Ventura from the Schleimer Family Trust. The properties, totaling 17,100 square feet, sold for $1.5 million. Mike Wax and Doug Wax of Industrial Park Associates represented the seller. Jim Darin of Westcord represented the buyer. Mike Wax notes that the buildings are about 40 years old, and that the buyer plans to refurbish and reposition them.

• In Simi Valley, Grace Bartsch with the Westlake Village office of NAI Capital represented sandwich shop Subway in the lease of a 1,400-square-foot retail property in the Simi Target Center at 51 Tierra Rejada Road. The landlord is Fountainhead Shrugged LLC.

• In Thousand Oaks, Michael Schiff, also of NAI’s Westlake Village office, represented landlord Regency Centers in the lease of a 3,969-square-foot retail space in the Oakbrook Plaza shopping center at 1724-A Avenida de las Arboles to Jinky’s Café.  The deal is valued at more than $1.1 million, NAI said.

Meanwhile, wineries are causing a bit of a buzz in the Central Coast leasing market:

Pali Wine Co. has taken over 2,654 square feet at 116 E. Yanonali St., Ste. A  in Santa Barbara, joining the ranks of Funk Zone wineries on the city’s Urban Wine Trail. Tom Davidson with Lee & Associates Central Coast represented Pali in that deal.

• To the north, Davidson represented both tenant and landlord in a 2,000-square-foot industrial lease to Sanford Winery in the Santa Rita Hills Wine Center on 12th Street in Lompoc.

NEW PARTNERSHIP

Commercial real estate brokerage Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura has teamed up with property management firm Moss & Co. The partnership means that Lee will continue to offer brokerage services for acquisitions, dispositions and leasing; Moss will provide property management services such as rent collection and property maintenence for clients who opt for the services.

“This alliance was an ideal alternative to establishing an in-house property management arm because it gives clients maximum flexibility with two companies who are first class in their respective specialties,” Mike Tingus, Lee & Associates’ LA North/Ventura president, said in a news release. “

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks has started work on a $15 million dining commons that the school says will transform the heart of its campus. The two-story commons will seek LEED certification.
