Resonant, the Goleta based designer of filters for mobile devices, opened a new office in South Korea after announcing a new customer in the Chinese market and the expansion of several licensing agreements with existing customers in the past six months.

Jangwon Jung, formerly of Cavenish-Kinetics, was appointed as the country sales manager for South Korea. In addition to supporting customers in the established market in the country, the office will serve to develop products for the growing Chinese market, the company said in a news release Aug. 8.

“Our first two customers were established in South Korea and our new office underscores our commitment to the Asian market and is a logical step in the company’s growth strategy,” said CEO George Holmes. “We see enormous potential in the expanding Chinese and Korean markets, and this strategic location will allow us to better serve our growing list of customers and partners in the region.”
