CalAmp, an Irvine-based Internet of Things provider with operations in Oxnard, announced a new suite of products for the transportation, construction, government and energy sectors.

The software provides real-time updates on connected equipment like vehicles, environmental conditions and workers that minimize downtime for customers, the company said in a news release Aug. 31.

“The CalAmp Telematics Suite’s unique blend of insights and intelligence from diverse data points allows businesses to fill the problematic information gaps in their telematics data,” Paul Washicko, senior vice president and general manager of CalAmp’s SaaS business, said in a news release. “When applied to an asset management solution, a company can now pair a package to a driver, and a driver to a vehicle to monitor for compliance and gain a complete view of their operations from one application platform.”

Shares for the company ended at $18.47 on Sept. 1, down 7 cents.
