Camarillo hospital puts ‘Camarillo’ in its name

St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital has changed its name to St. John’s Hospital Camarillo, the hospital’s nonprofit parent, Dignity Health, announced July 6. Dignity said the hospital is changing its name to “better identify the hospital with the community it serves.” Hospital leaders don’t expect the name change to impact hospital operations or patient care. Feds will fund Oxnard Airport runway replacement

Oxnard Airport is getting more than $14.4 million in federal funds to replace the runway, U.S. Rep. Julia Brownley, D-Westlake Village, announced July 1.
