Large energy companies, most of the North County’s elected officials and chambers of commerce and many others are firmly opposed to this November ballot measure, which would bar “high-intensity” energy production in the county.
Many small wineries in rural areas of Santa Barbara County such as the Santa Ynez Valley may be unable to house tasting rooms or hold special events if county officials approve changes to a winery ordinance that has been in place since 2004.
